Sting wants to sing in Cuba before Jagger, guitarist says

British singer Sting is aiming to beat the Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger to perform in Cuba, his Argentine guitarist said in an article Thursday. Dominic Miller, who has performed with Sting since 1990, told Cuban news portal that his boss was vying to make it to the island before Jagger, who is reported to be considering a March concert in Havana. The 72-year-old rocker is expected to perform on the island as part of a 2016 Rolling Stones Latin America tour.

Forgotten Whistler canvas found in Dutch museum

Forgotten for two decades, a dusty old canvas hidden in a corner of a small Dutch museum has been revealed as a painting by American artist James Whistler. "Thanks to chemical analysis and an examination of its origins, we have concluded that we have an authentic Whistler," museum curator Jan Rudolph de Lorm told AFP. "I saw the picture in the depot and I just couldn't get her stare out of my mind," said Rudolph de Lorm.
